The studio of AOart was established in 2003 by artist Alan O'Cain. In 2005 Alan's wife Juliet pitched in to diversify and promote Alan's creative output and give it an internet identity. Juliet worked in the IT industry for 19 years and now collaborates creatively full-time with Alan. Their activities include hand book-making, ambitious art projects, exclusive limited edition poetry publications and theatre design.

Welcome to A Plain Fish, the web design department of AOart - the studio of artist and writer Alan O'Cain and IT Professional Juliet Lunn. Here we create W3C compliant artist-designed websites.
Every website we build is unique (we do not use templates) and is formatted to maximise your internet presence. Unlike many other small design companies we provide a complete artistic and creative service, including photography, digital or hand-drawn imagery, web logo design, copywriting and text editing, all at fantastic value with a truly personal service.
Yes, our web design service is a commercial enterprise, but primarily we build websites for fun, and we love getting to know our clients and seeing them become friends.
